Domaine de la Hamberie

Welcome to Domaine de la Hamberie, a 17th Century Normandy farm in the fertile lower Calvados region of France.  Set in seven acres of unspoilt countryside, the farm has plenty of room to roam, with gardens, fields, and wildlife areas.  Five beautifully renovated gites can provide self-catering accommodation for up to fifty people, with three of our gites accessible to wheelchair users, including drive in showers, extra wide doors, support bars, lateral access to toilets, and no steps.

Maison de la Ferme is a magnificent farmhouse, containing six en-suite bedrooms, and will cater for larger parties.  Gite Le Fournil (the old bakery) is fully accessible for guests in wheelchairs as is Gite Martin (part of the old stable block and probably the oldest building on the farm) which opened in 2000.  Each of these has four bedrooms.  Gite Larose (also wheelchair accessible) and Gite Goulet, each with two bedrooms, share a large old farmhouse. All the gites face a central green in the heart of the farm and each is provided with its own patio, parking area and private garden.  There are indoor and outdoor play facilities and a solar heated swimming pool in a safe and picturesque setting.  The area is well provided with sport and leisure opportunities in Falaise and further afield.

La Hamberie is situated near to Falaise, the birthplace of William the Conqueror and the scene of the final battle of Normandy in 1944.  The picturesque Suisse Normandie and miles of fine sandy beaches are within an hours drive.  Deauville, Honfleur, Bayeux and Mont St Michel are within easy reach.
