These gites are designed to be suitable for everyone allowing every member of the group or family to enjoy a relaxing break whilst providing facilities for people with disabilities. We have provided a overview of these facilities for each gite but we are also able to hire wheelchairs, hoists and an electric bed from our local pharmacy. Please contact us if you have any specific requirements or queries. Our beds are 51 cm from the floor to the top of the mattress but we can provide blocks to raise this to 61cm. News We have
purchased a new self propelled commode chair with the following
features. Can be positioned over a standard toilet or used as a portable self contained commode. Removable full arms with plastic armrests allow for easy transfer. Corrosion resistant stainless steel frame. Cushioned, vinyl seat is sealed to prevent moisture penetration. Removable pail and lid are included. Mag-style 24” rear wheel with rubber tires allows individual to self propel. Swingaway, detachable footrests with durable, non-corrosive footplates come standard. Color: Steel frame, grey upholstery. 300 lb.Weight Capacity. Many thanks to all our guests who have guided us in the best way to provide accessible facilities for people with disabilities. We can also provide a roll in shower chair. The seat of this is 49cm from the ground, it is 40 cm deep and 45 cm wide, pictured at the bottom of this page. Please request to reserve these items for the duration of your stay. Additional News We now have a motorised wheelchair that can be reserved for our guests. It has been kindly loaned by one of our returning customers, to whom we are very grateful. This is a Sunrise Medical, PowerTec 50 Powerchair. Gite Fournil has two twin bedrooms on the ground floor. These have been designed to be accessible to guests in wheelchairs. The front door is 114cm wide, while the bedroom & ground floor bathroom doors are 90cm wide. The beds have fixed bars attached to the wall. The toilet seat is 41cm from the floor, and has two levered support bars on either side, as well as a pull bar facing the toilet. In the shower room, the sink is 75cm from the floor. You can drive a wheelchair directly into the shower, and we supply an armless plastic chair. We can provide a chair with arms as well as a non-self propelled shower chair, as seen in Gite Larose below.

Gite Martin has a twin bedroom on the ground floor with an en-suite shower/toilet room. The front door is 85cm wide, and the french window style doors are 118cm wide. The bedroom & bathroom doors are 78 and 80 cm wide respectively. The beds have fixed bars attached to the wall. The toilet seat is 42cm from the floor, and has two levered support bars on either side. The sink is 87cm from the floor. You can drive a wheelchair directly into the shower which has a levered drop down bar for support.. We supply an armless plastic chair, but we can provide a chair with arms as well as a non-self propelled shower chair, as seen in Gite Larose below.

Gite Larose has been designed to be fully accessible to any guest in a wheelchair. The front door is 93cm wide, while the bedroom, toilet & bathroom doors are 90cm wide. One of the beds has a fixed bar attached to the wall. The toilet seat is 41cm from the floor, and has 2 support bars as well as 2 pull bar facing the toilet, attached to the door & wall. In the shower room, the sink is 75cm from the floor. You can drive a wheelchair directly into the shower which has a levered drop down bar for support, as well as a fixed bar on the wall. We supply an armless plastic chair, but we can provide a chairs with arms as well as a non-self propelled shower chair, as shown.
