Young family holidays in Normandy

The area around Domaine de la Hamberie is fortunate enough to have attractions that can suit all tastes, from peaceful walks to go-carting, paintballing and tree-walks with ziplines. It is an ideal venue to keep a variety of tastes, and ages, amused and entertained. Here we offer some ideas of places to visit with a young family.

Sunday The Castle in Falaise, the home of William the Conqueror is open to the public and is a great place for the whole family. Afterwards, a crepe for lunch in the town centre is ideal.
Then back to the farm to spend a relaxing time in the pool and playbarn.

Monday A morning trip to St Pierre-sur-Dives Market.
On the way back from the market there is a great venue for younger families called Rando Loisiers - this is a horse riding centre which also has a petting park with baby goats and other animals as well as large inflatables for younger children. You can easily lose an afternoon.

Tuesday Festyland is a brilliant themepark near Caen that offers something for everyone. A great day out for all the family.

Wednesday The Pegasus Bridge Museum is a must see while in Normandy, and afterwards it's close to the beach at Ouistreham where horse riding, and go-karting are available.

Thursday The Beauregard Adventure is great for all ages with tree walks and zip-lines as well as paint-balling if that's your cup of tea. It's a lovely spot for a picnic too.
Argentan in the afternoon has a lovely park around a lake right next door to the Lace museum which is a nice family venue.

Friday Ouga Park is a soft play centre in Caen which can get a lot of energy out of even the most durable child,
Then back to base for a quiet afternoon relaxing before getting ready to return home.

The map shows all the venues mentioned and a few extra ones..
